柯能堡对心灵现象认识的基底在此，设定心电感应伴随恐惧、暴力、隐匿、性与抵抗，这就是之所以后作中心灵层面的超能力被过渡为惊悚景象。与犯罪档案场地和角色、服装很相近，可以称为社会心理学实验上下集，这部讲精神异化，后者讲身体异化，所以本片室内戏更多。镜头更稳一点。

催眠的伪科教片。初代男主怪异的中世纪娘炮审美对影片影响很大。奇怪的伪科学主张比如心理学家别和被研究体保持距离、推翻异性恋的正统地位、神交的可能等等。DC自行摄像的构图美得惊人，大大弥补了内容的贫乏
